  • Why choose a family-run cattery like Siberian Express?

    • Currently, only one breeder is authorized to sell one or more kittens, even on an occasional basis. (See: https://www.service-public.gouv.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F33452)

    • We intentionally limit the number of breeding cats to maintain a strong bond with them by providing daily care and attention (cuddles and play) that they need to thrive.

    • Our love for animals leads us to provide them with comfort through amenities that allow them to thrive in the house or garden. Cat trees, shelves, and cat toys abound at Siberian Express.

    • Effective socialisation: Our breeding cats are very close to us, trusting us completely and passing this trust on to their offspring. Our kittens are born at home and from day one gradually interact with us through touch and perceive familiar sounds. As soon as they are old enough, they play with family members and explore their home and garden environment.

      • Well-balanced kittens: At Siberian Express, kittens don't leave home before three months old because a kitten needs its mother and siblings to ensure its proper psychological and social development.

      • A ready-to-go kitten, dewormed, treated for parasites, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered, when it joins your family.

      • A breeder guarantees veterinary care from birth until your kitten arrives in your home. Your kitten will have seen our veterinarian at least four times during its first three months of life.

  • Neutering/Spaying: Why is it better to neuter your cat?

    • In short, if you want to preserve your sleep, your home, and the health and peace of mind of your male or female cat, neutering or spaying will be your best ally, unless you have a house with a suitable setup (catter box and/or dedicated room).

    • An unneutered (male) or unspayed (female) cat will be more inclined to roam, hence a higher risk of disappearing. Prevent fights with other males: increased risk of injury and transmission of diseases such as FIV (feline AIDS). Marking territory (males or females), especially on furniture, sofas, rugs, blankets, etc.: urine with an extremely strong odour that is difficult to remove. Frequent meowing during heat cycles, with a voice ranging from soft to deep, day and night.

    • Repeated births exhaust female cats, and regular use of the pill for cats is not recommended because, according to some studies, it increases the risk of tumours. A neutered cat will produce fewer allergens than an intact male.
